Me undecided

This here is a painting done by one of my favorite animators, Oskar Fischinger. He basically invented experimental animation, combining music with amazing visuals. That visual stuff that you see on itunes? Well, he invented that way back in the 1930's.

He also did a ton of paintings, the above is an example of that. It just so happens that this here piece is up for auction tomorrow. I like it and the starting bid is low enough to afford but could quickly go up...should I do it?

***UPDATE****

I didn't get it. Some scowley looking lady bought it for $1800. A good price for a Fischinger painting but I couldn't afford it anyways. Boo-hoo huh?

There's a big to-do in the animation community as to whether this should be considered animation or not because of the motion capture. Sure, it's animation...who cares?! It still looks ugly despite it's rave reviews. Will I watch it? Prolly... after all, I have to be fair before I rip it apart.

My favorite show, "Meerkat Manor" has completed it's third season. It was a bloody, sad, violent season. Now it's a loong wait until season four.

Who couldn't love these cute lil' buggers? There's only one person I could think of who hates 'em...and that person knows of whom I speak.

This is a good way to scare kids...

A perfect example of where modern animation has gone...pushes the tolerance of poor design and lack of originality don't it?

The teaser poster for Mr. Selick's upcoming stop-mo feature looks a little disturbing and yawn. That creature holding on to the girl looks like a molester. And another goth themed stop motion feature? Oh-boy. Can't. Wait.
